For recruiters, staffing firms and hiring managers

Earn recurring revenue on job postings.

Post a job, or refer the employer who does — keep 50% of the posting fee, on renewals as well as the first. Bring someone else into the program and earn 5% of everything they generate, for as long as they post.

Twelve free tools from Salute Veterans, the 501(c)(3) nonprofit behind the HireAVeteran.org job board, give you something worth sharing while you do it.

Tools for placing veterans

Free, no account, nothing to buy. Use them yourself, or send them to a candidate — just use your own partner link when you share, so it is credited to you.

How to get your link

You already do this part for free

Most recruiters have taken the call from someone six months out who is not placeable yet, and answered the resume questions anyway. Most hiring managers have explained to a veteran applicant why their application did not land. Nobody bills for that.

A placement is a mortgage payment, a spouse who stops worrying, kids who finish the year at one school. That is easy to lose sight of at the fortieth req of the quarter — but it is what the work is.

Sending someone a tool that decodes their own job code costs you nothing and saves you having the same conversation twice.

50%

On every posting

Post a job yourself, or refer the employer who does. Half the posting fee comes back to you — on renewals as well as the first one.

5%

On everyone you bring in

Anyone who joins the program with your code earns you 5% of what they generate, for as long as they keep posting. Work done once, and it does not stop when you change jobs.

No cost to join. Nothing to buy. It does not touch your placement fees, and the tools stay free either way.

What the Skills Translator does

One line from a real resume, and what it actually says. Nobody outside the military reads 88M as a transportation supervisor with a clean safety record — which is why a qualified candidate gets four seconds and a pass.

Open the Skills Translator — 9,479 codes, every branch.

Transportation Operations Supervisor

  • Operated tractor-trailer and heavy vehicles with no preventable incidents
  • Transported hazardous and oversized loads under strict handling requirements
  • Maintained logs in compliance with hours of service rules
  • Eight years, promoted three times, no gaps

Staff Sergeant is a pay grade, not a job title. That is the whole problem.

You are already posting roles on LinkedIn. Mix a tool in now and then — it is something worth reading rather than another job ad.

Join the HireAVeteran Partner Program, earn 50% on job postings and 5% recurring from anyone who signs up using your code and posts jobs for veterans.

If you hire in-house

Most of this applies whether you bill for placements or carry a headcount plan. The resume is just as hard to read either way, and the clearance is worth just as much to your own hiring manager.

The difference is the budget. A corporate posting comes out of a line someone already approved — so half of it coming back is the rare kind of saving you can point at in a review.

What changes for an in-house team

Nothing about how you post. You still write the req, you still screen. The fee is shared back to whoever referred the account, and if that is you, it is your department's.

Worth knowing before you ask: it is a nonprofit board, so the fee funds veteran organizations rather than a shareholder. That tends to be an easier internal conversation than a job ad.
